How Do I Manually Center My Cap Driver?

PUBLISHED

To ensure that your cap embroidery is properly aligned, it is important to properly center the cap driver on your machine. Follow these steps to do so.

1. Locate the two latches on the top of the cap driver that holds the cap hoop in place. In between these latches is a silver plate. This plate represents the center point of the cap driver, and you will need to align it with the left and right arrows on the needle plate to center the cap.

2. Use the up and down arrows to move the cap driver until the cap wings are even with the bobbin door.

3. Write down the PX and PY values displayed on the machine (round them to the nearest number, as there may be negative values). These values represent the position of the cap driver.

4. Go to the "EMB Param" button on the control panel and click on the "Frame" tab.

 or

5. Select (CL) to clear the current value and enter the PX and PY values you recorded in step 3 for the X and Y center, respectively.

6. Select "OK" and reselect your hoop to complete the process.
